45 % of all unemployed (5355 persons) are qualified workers and service personnel;

Lithuanians are one of the best educated nations in Europe Union. Over 90 % of people of 25-64 years age have a secondary or higher education (in EU-27 the average is about 70 %). About 30% of Lithuanians have a diploma of higher education, while in EU the average is 24 %. About 40% of Lithuanians of 25-34 years of age have a higher education which is almost two times bigger than the average in EU-15.
92% of women of 25-64 years of age have a secondary or higher education on national level. It is the highest indicator in EU.
