Panevėžys has gained international recognition – the "Stasys Museum" and "Pragiedruliai" have been nominated for Prestigious Architecture Awards

Panevėžys is increasingly establishing itself as a hub for innovative architecture and cultural centres – two exceptional city landmarks have gained international recognition. One of the most influential architecture websites in the world, ArchDaily, has included "Stasys Museum" art centre and "Pragiedruliai" creativity centre in the prestigious list of nominees for the "Building of the Year" awards. This competition features over 4,000 of the best architectural projects from around the world every year, and simply being nominated is considered a significant honour.
The "Stasys Museum" art centre, which opened its doors at the end of May, has become a significant architectural and art event that immediately captured the attention of the international community. This unique building, designed by the team of IMPLMNT architects, has been nominated in two categories – Cultural Architecture and Best Applied Products.
Another pride of the city is the reconstructed Juozas Čerkesas-Besparnis estate, which has become the creativity centre "Pragiedruliai" – the jewel of Skaistakalnis park. The space, created by architects Tadas Jonauskas, Ignas Račkauskas, Lukas Kulikauskas, Augustas Makrickas, and Justina Muliuolytė, is competing for the "Building of the Year" title in the Cultural Architecture category.
The Building of the Year competition, held for the sixteenth time, is one of the most important architectural awards in the world. Each year, over 4,000 projects participate, and simply being nominated is a significant recognition – it attests to the building's architectural value, innovation, and the creative craftsmanship of its authors. The nominated city projects prove that Panevėžys is becoming a city of brave and contemporary architecture, where world-class projects are being created.
The first voting phase is open until February 12, and the winners of each category will be announced on February 20 on ArchDaily. We invite you to support Panevėžys and vote for our city's projects – every vote helps promote the city's name worldwide!
