American Virtuosi visited Panevėžys
This family, called the " American Virtuosi" by the journalists, will present themselves to the inhabitants of Panevėžys tonight, at the Art Gallery.
The Mayor provided some facts about Panevėžys and expressed the his thanks for the visit of the guests. " We are glad that you visited this city. We hope that this is not the last chance for the people of Panevėžys to enjoy your concerts",- said the Mayor Vitalijus Satkevičius.
The Chairman of Panevėžys Jewish Community Genadij Kofman expressed his thanks to the Mayor for a warm welcome and invited everybody to the concert of the Borowsky family.
"I believe that music is a bridge uniting people. We with Lithuanian people cherish not only theoretical but also practical contacts. We are good friends with the Boy's Choir "Dagilėlis" from Šiauliai. We also hope to strengthen the contacts in Panevėžys",- said Charles Borowsky, the internationally well-known Doctor of Social Sciences, organising international festivals and conferences where the importance of music to the development of culture, social and economical issues is analysed.
The "American Virtuosi" will perform the pieces by Antonio Vivaldi, Frederic Chopin, Claude Debussy, David Popper and the pieces created by themselves. The concert starts at 6.00 P.M.
