The Administration of Kaunas Municipality implements the project OPTIMISATION OF SAFETY AND MOVEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT AND HEALTH(SMOOTH). The project is partially supported by EU. The project partners are the Municipality of Cahors(France), Municipality of Kaunas City, The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Cyprus, Municipality of Vallons de Vilaine (France). 

The project aims at reducing transport flows in cities by increasing of safety of engine-free transport means in streets.  Innovative public transport services are also of great importance.
