" I am pleased to see so many guests from Italy here. I am glad about the joint project and I am thankful for finding some time to visit us. I hope this is not the last meeting and in the future we could also implement joint project in social care field ", - said the Mayor R. Račkauskas.

Panevėžys Youth Day Care Centre implements the project NO PROFIT EU SKILLS financed by ERASMUS programme. The partners of the centre is staying in Panevėžys for two weeks and sharing good practice about their country and organisations where they work. The guests also pay visits to social care institutions in Panevėžys. They have already visited  Special Educational Centre ŠVIESA, St. Joseph Home for Elderly People. Vilnius, Kaunas, Trakai and Šiauliai have also been visited. Italians are making new joint projects and getting acquainted with social care field at Youth Day Care Centre.

According to the Director of Youth Day Care Centre Lina Trebienė, local people has gained much experience, got new ideas and it will be adopted and used in our city. Future plans cover the projects of encouragement of enterpreneurship skills for people with mental disabilities.
