On November 17–20, partners of the international CERV programme project “The Power of W – Sustainable Energy for Developing European Towns” gathered in Ventspils, Latvia, for one of the final transnational meetings of the initiative. Panevėžys City Municipality was among the active project partners participating in the event, contributing to discussions on gender equality, women’s leadership and sustainable urban development.
The event brought together municipalities and organisations from Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Latvia and Lithuania, creating an important platform to review project achievements and agree on the remaining steps before the project’s completion.
During the meeting, participants took part in conference sessions, exchanged experiences on strengthening gender equality in the energy sector, and explored local examples of STEAM education and community engagement through visits to Ventspils House of Creativity, the Technical School and VIZIUM Science Centre. Panevėžys representatives also presented the city’s contribution to the project, highlighting local initiatives and good practices developed during the two-year collaboration.
As the project is nearing its end, the final online conference is scheduled to take place on December 12 at 13:00 (Lithuanian time). The event will summarise the results of the partnership, showcase best practices collected across participating countries and present recommendations for municipalities aiming to strengthen gender equality in sustainable energy development.
Panevėžys City Municipality warmly invites all interested stakeholders, professionals and community members to join the final event.
