Met the Ambassador of Byelorussia
The Deputy Mayor Regina Eitmonė, the Deputy Director of Administration Janina Gaidžiūnaitė, the Mayor of Panevėžys District Povilas Žagunis, the President of Panevėžys Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts Sigitas Gailiūnas and the General Director, the President of the Confederation of Industry Experts Aleksas Varna and the General Director of the Company PANEVĖŽYS AURIDA Redas Klupšas took part in the meeting.
The Mayor presented the City of Panevėžys, its cultural, economic and social situation and expressed the joy for sport and cultural achievements.
"It is a great pleasure that politicians and businessmen from a neighbouring country look for closer cooperation possibilities. I do believe that after this visit of Byelorussians the contacts will increase",- said the Mayor V. Satkevičius.
The Ambassador A. Korol expressed the hope to find more cooperation partners from Byelorussia for Panevėžys, to make sports, cultural and business cooperation more active.
"Political, cultural and economic relations with Lithuania are very important for us. We hope to find partners for mutual cooperation in your city"- said the Ambassador of Byelorussia in Lithuania H. E. Mr. Aleksandr Korol.
