V. Satkevičius presented cultural and economical situation in the city, investment possibilities in the city and in the Industrial Park- Free Economic Zone. " I am pleased about more intensive visits of foreign investors to Panevėžys. It shows that economy is becoming more vital and the investors are looking for new challenges. Norwegian investors have a good reputation in the city and are very much welcome",- said the Mayor V. Satkevičius.

Norwegian corporation SIVA was established in 2004. Its areas of activities include real estate and innovations. The activities are implemented in Central Europe: the Balkans, Russia, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine. The corporation has the plans to expand its activities in Lithuania and Latvia. The guests discussed the possibilities of innovation projects, cooperation between science and bussiness. Panevėžys College and Panevėžys Institute of Kaunas Technological University could be possible partners.

The General Director of Panevėžys CCIC V. Matkevičius was stisfied that 18 companies of Norwegian capital are functioning in the city. They are successfully integrated into the business structure of the city. " I think that cooperation of self-govening institutions, business and science has perspectives. I believe that the authorities of Panevėžys Institute of Kaunas Technological University will cooperate and implement science programmes taking into consideration the needs of business",- said V. Matkevičius.
