Norwegian Furniture Production Facility and Distribution Centre has been opened in Panevėžys Free Economic Zone

IMG LITHUANIA, the company producing comfort, highest quality soft furniture has been constructed during the first investment phase. The production premises will cover 17 000 sq.m. Norwegian company has invested 10 million Euros and there will be over 125 employees.
"Panevėžys is well-known for a strong supply chain in many industrial areas, especially furniture. Within the distance of 50 km you can reach all high standard and quality producers of wood, foam rubber, textile, metal and other components,- says the Director of FEZ Rokas Krivonis. Besides, FEZ is attractive to investors due to a possibility to implement the projects in a rapid way. We propose to start temporary activities in the adjacant complex of buildings just after signing the contract. IMG LITHUANIA used this possibility. Construction management team within FEZ guarantees that projects could be carried out in 8-10 months".
IMG GROUP is the largest Norwegian furniture producer thinking about expansion possibilities in FEZ. During the first investment phase the company has been established in the territory of 4,7 ha and has the plans to develop production and distribution centre up to 8,7 ha.
