“We are pleased with the nice cooperation and the initiative of the Embassy of Ireland presented to Panevėžys. As St. Patrick’s Day is approaching, the Irish Embassy, as every year, initiates its commemoration as widely as possible. In response to this request, Panevėžys City Municipality supports Ireland and on 17 March the municipality building will be in green light,”said Mayor R. Račkauskas.

Saint Patrick’s Day symbolises the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. This feast is widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora around the world.
