Sharing of Good Experience in Latvia

Non- preserved spaces which are being developed and managed at present have been presented in Daugavpils, Rezekne and Kraslava. Contacts for future new international projects have been made.
"The municipality of Daugavpils City have presented the former military territory of the fortress which have been under development for many years. A huge work has been done in restoring the historical view and places. At present, the fortress is under dynamic development as the centre of tourism, culture and business. In recent years, the investments into the renovation projects of the fortress reaches over 30 million Euros. M. Rothko Art Centre established in the territory meets over 90 000 of visitors in a year",- says the Project Manager of Panevėžys City Municipality Lina Blažytė.
The Municipality of Kraslava presented the following renovated territories: Indra and Kalnu Streets, Tourism Information Centre, the renovated stadium, the House of Crafts and a modern Sports Centre.
The Municipality of Rezekne showed the renovated territory in Luznava, a modern multifunctional hall and a special economic zone.
It is already the second visit of good experience sharing. In February, the Municipality of Panevėžys City and the Municipality of Visaginas presented their projects to the partners in Latvia.
