Next year both cities plan to sign Cooperation Agreement.

The delegation of Panevėžys City under the leadership of the Deputy Mayor Aleksas Varna has visited Japan by the inviation of the Mayor of Toyohashi Mr. K. Sahara. The heads of Toyohashi City have met the delegation in a hospitable way. The Deputy Mayor A. Varna together with the Mayor K. Sahara opened Toyohashi City Festival and greeted the inhabitants of the city.

The delegation got acquainted with the industry, education, culture, demography, city strategy, waste management system, achievements in robotics in Toyohashi. They have visited the City Hall, local business companies, the university and the science corporation.

The possibilities for economical, cultural, educational, sport exchange have been discussed.

The delegation of Toyohashi City will visit Panevėžys next year.
