During the courtsey visit the Head of the Mission presented the team of the office located in Riga, the capital of Latvia Riga and the directions of the work. The main target is smart city models and technologies. The ability to concentrate all the efforts of business and local authorities for the growth of business companies and more convenient life of citizens was discussed. The best results could only be achieved in cooperation of local authorities, business and academic society.

Mr. Andy Chin also stressed the importance of international collaboration "The cities share the same problems, thus, a common platform for government, business and science is needed for sharing of experience",- said A. Chin.

With the population of only 0.3% of the world, Taiwan beats records. It is the second safest city in the world, half of PC hardwear industry in the world is also managed by Taiwan and the best quality E-services are provided in Taiwan.

The next visit of the representative of Taipei mission is foreseen in November. Then, the companies of Panevėžys and academic institutions will be presented.
