According to the Department of Foreign Relations of Panevėžys Municipality, cooperation cannot be imagined without active participation of Goes-Panevėžys Friendship Committee which unites people of various ages and professions. They work on volunteer basis. A perfect example illustrating this is a joint project of Elderly Care Home in Goes and Panevėžys St. Joseph Elderly Care Home ("Elderly Care and Services at Home"). Part of this project is a donation of 26 functional beds for Panevėžys. The beds will be donated to St. Joseph Elderly Care Home and Infectious Disease Hospital. This year, in May a delegation of 5 experts in Elderly Care will visit Panevėžys and share experience in the provision of services for the elderly.

Every year, Lithuanian evening is organised in Goes where all those who love Lithuania and Lithuanians living in the Netherlands gather. This year, Panevėžys and Lithuania has been presented by the group "Raskila". The leaders of this group Lina and Gvidas Viliai told about the City of Panevėžys, Lithuania, traditions and habbits.

In April - August the exhibition of a Dutch painter Mathisse Arendsen will be presented in Panevėžys.
