Children from Ukraine came to Summer Camp in Panevėžys

"Welcome, it is nice to see you all in Panevėžys. I express great respect to your people, fighting for the freedom of Ukraine bravely and in unity. During this short vacation, I wish you to have a good time under the peaceful sky of Lithuania. - to get away from adversity, get the best impressions and take away the warmest memories of Panevėžys and Lithuania. Always remember that we are for you and with you", said Panevėžys City Mayor Rytis Račkauskas.
"Slava Ukraini, Herojam Slava", the children said in chorus with the mayor.
The purpose of the summer camp is to host children whose parents are dead, missing or fighting for the freedom of Ukraine during the summer. 30 children and 4 accompanying teachers came to the Municipality of Panevėžys to meet with the Mayor Rytis Račkauskas.
During the meeting, the teachers from the municipalities of Irpin and Vinnytsia thanked the city mayor for his support and help in fulfilling the children's dreams of at least a short break from the unrest and tension of the war.
In summer camp children can have a peaceful rest, entertainment, various educations, excursions, sports and other activities. Rehabilitation, consultations with psychologists are also arranged.
