"Cooperation with embassies and foreign countries opens up new opportunities for economic, social development and cultural exchange. This visit of the Ambassador of India, I believe, will be the beginning of new opportunities", said Panevėžys City Mayor R. Račkauskas.

Ambassador D. Uttam emphasized the potential and opportunities of the Indian market for various Lithuanian business sectors, as well as the opportunities for educational and cultural exchange. According to the ambassador, the Indian market is huge and open to new partners from abroad.  

This is the second visit of the Indian ambassador to Panevėžys. He visited the city for the first time in May together with other ambassadors residing in Lithuania. According to D. Uttam, Panevėžys left the impression of a charming, compact and the city under modernisation. He was particularly impressed by the modern STASYS MUSEUM. This impression encouraged the ambassador to return and initiate a closer dialogue in business, cultural and educational sectors.
