The Vth International Stone Sculpture Symposium starts in Panevėžys

4 professional sculptors Michail Vouzounerakis (Greece), Andrej Mitevski (Macedonia), Sigitas Tallat-Kelpša and Vytautas Tallat- Kelpša (Lithuania) are taking part in it.
"The symposium is dedicated to the 510th anniversary of the city and on that occasion the city will be decorated with 4 stone sculptures. The place for creation was provided by the Water Supply Company and the main sponsor is the Municipality of Panevėžys",- said the project manager, the sculptor Vytautas Tallat-Kelpša.
The sculptors will make granite sculptures which will be donated to the city. They will be placed in the Old River Bed making the path of sculptures longer.
During the symposium which will last till June 18th, the sculptors will not just make sculptures but will also present their creative works, their cities and countries. The closing ceremony and presentation to the public is foreseen on June 18th at 4.00 P.M.
