European Cycling Track Championship starts in Panevėžys

This year this sport event is considered to be of national importance.
17 athletes who took part in London Olympic Games, several winners of European and the World Championships, the brightest stars of Lithuanian Track Cycling will be present.
The organisers of the Championship promises an impressive opening show.
During the opening ceremony the Honourable Member of the General Assembly of European Council Mr. Klaus Buhler will award the City with the European Plaque of Honour.
The delegations from the partner towns of Kaliningrad and Daugavpils will be welcomed in the Mayor's Office on Saturday.
