The Cooperation with the People's Republic of China is continued
The Mayor of Panevėžys City Vitalijus Satkevičius, the Deputy Mayors Petras Narkevičius and Regina Eitmonė together with the President of Panevėžys Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts Sigitas Gailiūnas, the Director Visvaldas Matkevičius welcomed the guest.
It is already the second visit to Panevėžys. This time possible common projects were discussed. During the first visit to Panevėžys the Chinese delegation discovered Panevėžys as the city open to the world with a number of proposals to bussiness structures.
According to the Executive Director Mr. Lu Dong at present, China encourages bussiness expansion to Eastern Europe. This is just the intermediation between China and Lithuania. Exchange of delegations, cooperation shows the interest from both sides and mutual understanding.
The Mayor of Panevėžys Vitalijus Satkevičius said that the delegation of Panevėžys businessmen and the officials visited several exhibitions in China, met the representatives of governmental and business institutions.There are several investors interested in investment into the Free Economic Zone.
One more visit of Chinese businessmen is planned for March in 2013.
