2023.04.14

Today, the XIXth International Film Festival “European Cinema Day and Night“ has been officially opened.

"I am delighted to see European cinema gourmands gathered here today. Here we were all attracted by the opportunity to see relevant, unique and inclusive cinema. I have no doubt that this traditional event will give us all strong impressions and a wide variety of emotions this year as well. I wish interesting and meaningful time for everyone," said Rytis Račkauskas, the Mayor of Panevėžys City in his congratulatory speech.

The festival "European Cinema Day and Night” is one of the largest and most important film events in Panevėžys, cherishing the traditions of non-commercial cinema, educating and expanding the audience of original cinema. This year, the audience is given the opportunity to see even 19 films from countries such as Croatia, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Sakartvelo, Poland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, etc.
