The Donations of the International Cake Day to the Ukrainians Residing in Panevėžys

Today, a charitable campaign dedicated to the International Cake Day has been organised in Panevėžys City municipality. organized a Pie Day charity campaign. The employees brought home-made or purchased bakery products, served them to their colleagues and donated the collected funds to Ukrainians living in the city.
"I am happy with the organization of such a meaningful campaign. The people of Panevėžys have repeatedly proven how much they care about the pain and difficulties caused by the war. Thus, today we will contribute to the aid in order to help the Ukrainian war refugees staying in Panevėžys. I would like to thank Daiva Svireliena, the initiator of this action and the Head of the Legal Department, all the employees participating in the campaign and the representatives of the Charity and Support Fund "Nauja viltis" visiting us", said Panevėžys Mayor Rytis Račkauskas.
During today's campaign, the Director of the Charity and Support Fund "Nauja viltis" Irina Burkauskienė and the volunteer Valdonė Lelienė shared the problems of Ukrainians living in Panevėžys and invited the residents of Panevėžys, members of the city community and representatives of business companies to donate the most necessary things for the citizens of Ukraine. Currently, Ukrainians are in great need of household textiles (bedding, towels, rugs, carpets), hygiene, laundry detergents, cooking tools, pots, pans, working household appliances (vacuum cleaners, irons, microwave ovens, kettles), furniture.
The amount of 577 euros has been collected today during the campaign of International Cake Day.
