From April 1st to 4th, representatives of Panevėžys City Municipality Administration participated in an international meeting in Bucharest, Romania, organized as part of the project The Power of W – Sustainable Energy for Developing European Towns, co-financed by the European Union under the CERV programme – Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values. The event brought together municipalities and community organizations from across Europe to discuss the integration of sustainable energy approaches and community engagement at the local level.

During the meeting, participants explored ways to promote inclusive leadership in the green transition and shared good practices on improving energy efficiency in households and workplaces. A key part of the programme was the Energy Efficiency W-Challenge, where women-led teams presented practical and innovative solutions to real-world energy challenges.

Panevėžys City Municipality Administration actively contributed to discussions on local governance, inclusive policy-making, and the role of smaller cities in driving sustainable change. The next project meeting will take place in Panevėžys in just a few days, where participants will have the opportunity to further develop their leadership, project development, and communication skills
