The Project aims to contribute to creating a fairer and more sustainable society by raising awareness among women in European towns and communities about the benefits of sustainable energy solutions. It also promotes their adoption, taking into account environmental, social, and economic aspects. The goal is to advance gender equality in the energy sector and support the development of sustainable energy solutions that align with the European Green Deal’s objectives.

During the Project's implementation, nine international events will be held, allowing partners to explore new solutions for creating a more inclusive environment for women in the energy sector. The events will cover topics such as gender equality, sustainable environments, and resource management in European cities. The participation of women in these events will not only enhance their civic engagement but also support European initiatives like the New European Bauhaus at a local level. Participants will gain organizational, civic, and political skills throughout the Project.

Panevėžys will host one of these international events in May 2025. The event will provide participants with opportunities to improve leadership and project management skills, with a special focus on sustainable energy practices. The event will include guests from the Project's partner organizations, as well as representatives from local youth organizations and universities, ensuring the continuity of Project outcomes in these institutions.

The Project’s lead partner is the association "Impressum" (Romania), with additional partners including:

• University of Sassari (Italy)

The Project will run from January 2024 to December 2025 and is fully funded through the EU’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme, with a total budget of €174,290.00.
