                          Panevėžys will have a New Partner City in Japan

                          Toyohashi is a city in the South East of Japan and has over 375 000 of inhabitants. It was established in 1879.

                          Mikava sea port serves as one of the largest car trading ports in the world. The industries of machinery and agriculture processing are being developed. 

                          The cooperation with the City of Toyohashi started last year. Two Letters of Cooperation Intent have been signed, the visits of official delegations have been exchanged, cooperation possibilities in the fields of robotics, education, university education and sports have been discussed. The main goal- joint projects, international study programme of robotics, strengthening of Panevėžys Strategy Direction- Robotics/Industry 4.0. The Centre of Micro/Nano Technologies of Tokai University could become a perfect partner for Panevėžys Mechatronics Centre. The newest water treatment technologies is one more point for future cooperation.

                          The Partnership Agreement is planned to be signed by the end of June in Panevėžys.
