"We live in the middle of Lithuania, in a favourable geographical location between tyhe capitals of Lithuania and Latvia - Vilnius and Riga. We a re a compact city, favourable for business development. There are such large companies as JSC "Amilina", Panevėžys Construction Trust, the Company "Panevėžys Roads". Foreign investors are welcomed here and we are glad to have the companies of Norwegian capital in Panevėžys. We are proud about the functioning Free Economic Zone. Here, already this year, the company "Devold" will start its activities. Two potential investors are showing their interest. We do our best that Panevėžys would be attractive to investors, thus we also invite the representatives from Israel. I would like to mention that 10 years ago the Letter of Cooperation Intent was signed with the City of Ramla (Israel). Unfortunately, the process has stopped. We would appreciate if one Israel city could become our partner city",- said the Mayor R. Račkauskas.
