The Ambassador of Israel in Lithuania visited Panevėžys City Municipality
“It’ s a pleasure to see you here today. Thank you for keeping the ongoing sincere contacts and close cooperation with the Embassy of Israel. I know that your agenda is very tight today, thus, we are looking forward to welcoming you next time for a longer stay as Panevėžys has some places of must to see “, - said the Mayor of Panevėžys City Rytis Račkauskas.
Before the visit to the Municipality, the Ambassador of Israel in Lithuania met with the Jewish community of Panevėžys, visited the Jewish heritage objects in the city, and later left for Šeduva.
The Municipality of Panevėžys is cooperating with the Israeli city of Ramla. In 2019, the City Council approved that Panevėžys should officially establish partnership relations and conclude a cooperation agreement with the City of Ramla.
