                          The Ambassadors residing in Lithuania are Paying a Visit to Panevėžys

                          Today, Ambassadors from Ireland, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, India, Spain, Italy, Israel, the United Kingdom, Canada, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Latvia, Poland, the Netherlands, Romania, Georgia, Finland, Turkey, Hungary and the representative of the Holy See are visiting Panevėžys. In total, about 40 high-ranking officials have arrived in the city.

                           

                          "It is a great honour for me to welcome you in Panevėžys – a green, vibrant, getting modernized and renewed city. Today you have a possibility to be convinced about it and to explore the potential of the city. I hope this visit will mark the beginning of new opportunities, as cooperation and close ties create added value – enriching culture and opening up new perspectives for economic and social development. Thank you for your visit and I wish you an informative and pleasant time in our city," said Panevėžys City Mayor Rytis Račkauskas in his welcome speech.

                           

                           

                          The guests will be visiting the regional STEAM open-access centre, which integrates natural sciences, technology and engineering, mathematics, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a modern educational approach, the robotics centre "RoboLabas," the company "Devold" located in Panevėžys Free Economic Zone, the Estonian capital company "Harju Elekter" and soon to be opened the "Stasys Museum".
