The Delegation of Panevėžys City took part at Three Seas Initiative Forum in Lublin

During the event, the issues of strengthening cooperation with the regions of Ukraine, energy security during the war, the situation in the agricultural and food markets, the transport corridor in an unfavourable geopolitical situation, business digitalization, university cooperation in the countries of the Three Seas region, etc. were discussed.
Last June, the mayor of Panevėžys, representing the Panevėžys Regional Development Council, signed the declaration of Three Seas (Baltic, Adriatic and Black) in Lublin. The Three Seas Initiative is a cross-border and inter-regional cooperation platform uniting 12 EU countries located between the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Seas: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary.
By signing the declaration, Lithuania expressed its desire to cooperate, to create the economic power of the Central and Eastern European region. The purpose of this agreement is to expand regional cooperation in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the fields of energy, transport, digitization, and to strengthen cooperation in the EU.
