The International Project BRIDGE is going to be finalised
Today, the final event of the international project BRIDGE implemented in support of the funds of the European Union took place in the Art Gallery.
“It is a pleasure to see you gathered at the 5th, final meeting of the international project BRIDGE. In one year, we met four times, got to know each other better, and shared experiences about cross-border cooperation. I believe that this meeting in Panevėžys will not be the last, but only a continuation of the work started, especially since the topic - cooperation with neighbours - is very broad and interesting", said Panevėžys City Mayor Rytis Račkauskas.
At the event, reports were read about legal challenges in the implementation of international cooperation projects, the EU Citizens' Equality, Rights and Values Programme was presented, guests were introduced to the cultural heritage of the city and region.
Panevėžys City Municipality implements BRIDGE project together with the partners from Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Latvia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary and Italy. The project aims to promote the sustainable development of the regions by increasing the economic, social and territorial cohesion of the border region. The project has been running since 2020, 4 international meetings were organized in Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria and Portugal. During international meetings, good practices related to international cooperation were exchanged, and EU programmes were analysed with the help of experts.
