The Mayor met with the Volunteers
The volunteers expressed happiness about Panevėžys. They are very much satisfied about what they do in the city. They say they lack activeness of young people and are ready to organise events for youth.
"I am glad that volunteers come to Panevėžys and I am satisfied that they are friendly, active, willing to learn more about the city, meet local youth. I proposed to organise meetings of volunteers with pupils. I think that our pupils and gymnasium students would be interested in the experience of volunteering and, perhaps, they will join the programme themselves, go abroad, learn about the culture and habits of other nations.
At present there are 11 volunteers in Panevėžys: Magdalena Fink (Austria), Alison Vallet (France), Laura Rodriguez (Spain), Sara Santaengracia Huguet (Spain), Valentina Gertrud Hagen (Austria), Veronica Victoria Perez Nuno (Spain, Marlene Lucie Merbald (Germany) and Julliette Gauthier (France), Alfonso de Carlo (Italy), Infrid Sanchez (Spain), Lisa Buerger (Germany) and Mehmed Muhammed Kaya.
