The Soldiers of the USA visited Panevėžys
" Thank you so much for your visit to Panevėžys. Being the partners of NATO, we are happy to have you in the country and in the city. Your abundant forces guarantee the hope for peace", - said the Mayor of Panevėžys City Vitalijus Satkevičius.
"It is a great honour for us to be met and welcomed by the authorities of Panevėžys City. The President of the USA Barack Obama committed us to defend Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia last year. Thus, we are here. One of our goals is to become part of your community",- said the Head of Land Forces of the USA in Europe , the General Ben Hodges.
The Head of Land Forces of Lithuania, the General Major Almantas Leika was happy about good realtions with the soldiers of the USA.
The USA military troops were demonstrated by the City Hall today. The people of Panevėžys had the possibility to see the military trrops and to talk with soldiers.
