Today, the representatives of the project "Support to Cities in the Implementation of Public Procurement of Innovations and Provision of Practical Tools created using Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Gaming Methods" and their partners visited Panevėžys.
“I am pleased to see you here, visiting Panevėžys. You are visiting our city to share experiences and find the best ways to achieve positive results. I hope that both joint work and visits to various parts of our city will be interesting and useful for you. I expect that you will take away only the best impressions from Panevėžys. Good luck and have a good time in our city," said Panevėžys City Mayor Rytis Račkauskas in his congratulatory speech.
During the visit, the processes of compiling a sustainable city development strategy were presented to the guests, the strategic direction of Industry 4.0 was selected and developed, projects for the development of engineering competencies of children and youth were presented, the activities carried out in the robotics centre "RoboLabas" and the regional STEAM centre were presented.
In implementing this project, it is intended to help the cities of the Baltic Sea region to improve public services and achieve ambitious innovation goals by creating pragmatic tools that facilitate the implementation of innovations in public procurement. The project will also act as a network of cities in the Baltic Sea region for public procurement of innovations.
The project is implemented under the Interreg Baltic Sea Region programme by the Lithuanian Innovation Centre with the Panevėžys Development Agency and partners from Finland, Denmark, Germany, Latvia and Estonia.
