Companies functioning in Panevėžys are the ones of the most valuable in Lithuania
The rating is done taking into consideration the following: the average of salaries, investments into new technologies, the activities of business ambassadors(representing Lithuania abroad, participation at business missions, international conferences, public activities, etc.), provided support or charity, the policy of profit, the amount of attracted foreign investments, payed taxes, export, the indicators of pollution, number of employees, establishment of labour places.
According to the ones who made the rating, all 3 companies of Panevėžys City were included into the list due to high average salaries, contribution to the national economical development by exporting a lot and creating new labour places.
Besides, AB "AMILINA" can be distinguished from other ones as the company investing millions into new technologies. One of the leading starch manufacturers in Europe, the French company "Roquette" expressed the interest into the company and purchased part of shares. While AB "LINAS AGRO" leaves the other companies lacking behind according to the average salary(except the salary of the authorities of the company).
In 2013, the 3 most valuable companies in Lithuania were telecommunication company AB"TEO LT", UAB "PALINK" managing the supermarket network "IKI" and AB "LIFOSA"(chemistry industry).
