On September 9, during the special ceremony, the awards will be handed over to Alfonsas Lipniūnas School, Beržų School, Ąžuolas Progymnasium, Saulėtekis Progymnasium, Nature School, the kindergartens Draugystė and Kregždutė.

The Environmental Scool Programme involves schools into practical environmental activities, encourages active participation of school communities and promotes creativity among pupils. The key-elements of the programme: increase of environmental knowledge, involvement of local community, decrease of consumer habits (water, energy), international cooperation, etc. Having implemented the requirements of Environmental Education Fund, the programme participants are given the Green Flag. This award is valid one year.
