Wiill Panevėžys become a Leading Hub of Robotics in Eastern Europe-Baltic Region?

The leaders in business and technologies from Lithuania and abroad give the presentations, discuss about the progress of robotics in the world and how to make Panevėžys a well-known European Robotics Centre in Europe.
"My profession is an architect and I see the city in a holistic way - I see all the elements:industry, education system, public spaces, parks, people and infrastructure. I also see the way they correlate with each other. We have a strong wish to see the city offering its residents comfortable, creative, innovative environment, eager to lead experiments and ambitious projects. For this, we need strong economy. Modern and developing industry is the key engine for Panevėžys. That is why we are here today - our ambition is to become the leaders of the world accelerating process of Industry 4, Internet of Things and robot revolution. We support the initiative to make Panevėžys one of the leaders of robotics in Panevėžys. We shall look for resources in local budget and concentrate business, thus bringing Robo Panevėžys initiative to life. We shall make the process sustainable and start developing Industry 4 ecosystem with start-ups, modernisation of educational system, its transformations, and additional investments into the modernisation of industry, robotization and other measures. We seek for constructive cooperation and have a strong wish to overtake the best practice in establishing cooperation links between Odense, foreign science institutes and the largest robotics companies. We shall learn from the best,"- said the Mayor Rytis Račkauskas in welcoming the participants of the conference.
The presentation have been provided by Joost Nijhoff, CEO of Invest in Odense, Ali Muhammad, Principal Investigator at VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland, Thomas Solupajev-Ronlev, one of the founders of FACTOBOTICS.
