Panevėžys City Municipality has received a letter from the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania with the proposal to establish Free Economic Zone in Panevėžys Industrial Park.

„We are very happy that the Ministry of Economy has taken into account the requests of  Panevėžys City Municipality and potential investors and supports  the idea of establishing Free Economic Zone. This would be a very important step in attracting investors to establish companies and create new jobs in Panevėžys.“- Deputy Mayor Petras Narkevičius said.

Panevėžys City Council has to adopt the decission till August 26 about establishing Free Economic Zone in Panevėžys Industrial Park and to present it to the Ministry of Economy.
