The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is paying a visit to Panevėžys

"We are honoured to welcome you today in Panevėžys. The Netherlands is a country known for its openness to innovation, high-level cultural, sports events and education. It is good that a number of young Lithuanians choose to study in the Netherlands, and when they return home, they apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Currently, Panevėžys is experiencing a renaissance, and the contemporary art center STASYS MUSEUM has become the pride of our city. We have many ambitious plans and are always open to cooperation both at the national and international level. We would be happy to implement joint projects," said Panevėžys City Mayor Rytis Račkauskas.
After the meeting at the Municipality, the ambassador visited the contemporary art center STASYS MUSEUM and one of the city's largest companies UAB "Schmitz Cargobull Baltic".
The ambassador mentioned the STASYS MUSEUM in particular, stating that this cultural object has a lot of potential to grow and make Panevėžys famous not only in Europe, but all over the world. The guest also positively assessed the location of the city, the development opportunities of the free economic zone and the activities of the STEAM centre working with high technologies and innovations. Security and defense topics were also touched upon during the visit.
It is expected that this visit will become a solid base for future cooperation between Panevėžys and the Netherlands in various fields and the beginning of new international projects.
