Since 14 April, the launch of a new public transport route 1E (Kniaudiškių St. - Consulting Polyclinic) starts. It is estimated that there will be 16 runs per day.

The buses 1E will take through the streets of Kniaudiškių, Projektuotojų, Dariaus ir Girėno, Statybininkų, F. Vaitkaus, Klaipėdos, Nemuno, Parko, Tulpių., Taikos al., Respublikos, Stoties, A. Jakšto to the final destination Consulting Polyclinic. The return route is on the streets of A. Jakšto, J. Basanavičiaus, Vilniaus, Klaipėdos, F. Vaitkaus, Statybininkų, Dariaus ir Girėno, Projektuotojų, Kniaudiškių.

This new route is a part of the project SPACE4PEOPLE funded by the European Union program URBACT implemented by Panevėžys City Municipality. The project aims to increase the attractiveness of public spaces by focusing on three main aspects: pedestrians and their spaces, parking problems, intermodality and public transport. Currently, a survey of residents is taking place on the website www.panevezys.lt.
