The guests met with the Acting Mayor of Panevėžys City Mr. Aleksas Varna and the Director of Administration Mr. Rimantas Pauža. The representative of Lithuanian-Swedish Association Ms. Gražina Želionienė was also present. During the meeting the guests have been presented with the economical, cultural, social situation and the investment projects under implementation. 

Sustainable developmeny possibilities, challenges and problems have been touched upon.

" Since 1992 the City of Panevėžys has been cooperating with the City of Kalmar in Sweden. All the time we feel the support of local authorities of Kalmar and the inhabitants in different areas of life. I am very much pleased that the representatives of Swedish-Lithuanian Association of Panevėžys City has been active in spreading Swedish culture in the city and outside it. We do hope that cooperation between our countries and partner cities will only be strengthened",- said A. Varna. 

After the meeting in the City Hall the guests presented and opened the exhibition on the UN AGENDA 2030 at Panevėžys County G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė Library. Besides, the ambassador also visited V. Žemkalnis Gymnasium where the pupils are taught Swedish.
