British discuss and consider the possibilities, perspectives to invest into the Narrow Gauge Railway.

According to V. Užalinskas, Panevėžys has a rather large infrastructure, one of the biggest narrow gauge railway depot in the world. At the time being Panevėžys City Municipality is not the shareholder of Aukštaitija Narrow Gauge Railway Company yet. In the nearest future, it has the intention to do so. 

The expansion of the narrow gauge railway would be of great importance not just for the region itself but also for Lithuania. Nowadays, its potential is not fully used. More attention should be given to the Northern line passing Joniškėlis, Linkuva, Biržai where old manors are situated and the Beer Trial goes by.

The Company "Equity and Grant" assists business companies to work with and invest into the countries of Central, Northern and Eastern Europe. It cooperates with Lithuania for about 10 years already. The Company "Vintage Trains" promotes and supports tourism services connected with narrow gauge railway.

After the visit to Panevėžys Ciyu Municipality, the Bristish have visited the Narrow Gauge Railway Company and got acquainted with the infrastructure. Later, they met the representatives of Anykščiai District Municipality.

Having evaluated the potential of narrow gauge railway and the potential of development, the guests will provide their conclusions and proposals.
