The Mayor met the Head of European Commission Representational Office in Lithuania

The guest had a discussion " All Roads lead to Rome: Scenarios of European Future" at G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė Public Library.
"We touched different topics - from city issues and problems to the events in European Union. Together we discussed cooperation possibilities and the nearest plans of EC Representational Office in Panevėžys",- said the Mayor Rytis Račkauskas.
Arnoldas Pranckevičius has been appointed the Head of European Commission Representational Office in Lithuania since October of 2016. Before that, for 11 years, he has been working in Brussels. He was the Advisor on Foreign Policy of the Chairmen of European Parliament Mr. Jerzy Buzek and Mr. Martin Schulz. He has been coordinating special mission of the the Presidents Mr. Pat Cox and Mr. Aleksander Kwasniewski in Ukraine.
A. Pranckevičius has finished Gymnasium Nr. 5 in Panevėžys. He has started the career as the Advisor of Interrior Policy in the team of the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus. A. Pranckevičius has graduated from Colgate University in the USA (Bachelor of International Relations) and Paris Institute of Political Stiudies (Master of European Studies). He has also studies at Geneve and Viilnius Universities, had internships at the Senate of the USA, UNESCO, European Parliament, Radio Free Europe.
