In spring, the Music Theatre established friendship with Vinnytsia, Panevėžys partner city in Ukraine. Thus, today, in order to give meaning to this beautiful friendship, a support concert "Bridges of Music: Lithuania-Ukraine" was held in the theatre.
On September 28 - October 2, the Mayor of Panevėžys City Rytis Račkauskas, the Coordinator of Non-governmental Organisations Goda Voveriūnaitė-Kaminskienė and the Deputy Head of the Communication Department Vilma Kučytė take part in the first meeting of partners of the project "Challenges for Youth: Youth Response to COVID-19 and Green Deal" in the municipality of Alkojas (Spain). The Panevėžys delegation participates in various working sessions and discussions.
The municipality of Panevėžys is completing the implementation of the pilot project "Space4People" of the European Territorial Cooperation Programme URBACT.

The opening and start of the XIth Cycling Road race BALTIC CHAIN TOUR started today in Laisvė Square. The BALTIC CHAIN TOUR race has been held since 2011. They are symbolic commemoration of the Baltic Way campaign which was organised on August 23, 1989 in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This year, Lithuania is represented in the race by two teams - "Voltas Cycling Team" and "Kaunas Cycling Team".
Panevėžys City Municipality is implementing the pilot project "Space4People" of European Territorial Cooperation Programme URBACT and aims to increase the attractiveness of public spaces. This project examines the challenges associated with the use of public space in cities. The project aims to share good practices and promote the accessibility of public transport, the vitality of quality public space, accessibility for various user groups. It will create visions of the future by testing possible public space solutions. The ability to enjoy the city's public spaces in different ways makes it vibrant and attractive, and quality becomes part of a sustainable city.

The XXth international plein air of painters "Panevėžys 2022", dedicated to the memory of Kazimieras Naruševičius, was opened in Gallery XX. These plein airs have been organized in Panevėžys since 1998.
